Saturday was a great day for the Rotary's Highway 19 roadside trash pick up. In pictures left to right John Wegmann, Lyle Wilson Glen Christian, Ryan Schramm, Jim Bassett and behind the camera Bob Shepard. We gathered and bagged the trash!
Laura Qualey, the Marketing Director at First Farmers and Merchants Bank spoke to Rotary members this morning. She provided the club with an update on the Grow Cannon Falls initiatives. Ground broke for new hotel. Beer brewery will soon be brewing across the street from Cannon River Winery. A new ice cream and coffee shop?
Over $3,000 was raised for scholarships to Cannon Falls and Randolph students through the Rotary Rose sales. Thank you to all who ordered. And a big thanks to Cromer Creations for hosting delivery. It was good to see Chuck Scofield picking up his roses from Dave Johnson. Becky Brown helped club treasurer Joe Coyle with his roses. Becky, John Wegmann and Jim Bassett staffed the delivery desk on Saturday morning. Our Cannon Falls Community is the greatest with their generous support.
