Dr. Tarlochan Turna spoke to the Club on May 8 about his native India and the Sikh Religion. Sikhism is the fifth most popular religion in the world and yet is little known in the U.S. BBC reports that Sikhism was founded in the Punjab by Guru Nanak in the 15th Century CE and is a monotheistic religion. Sikhs think religion should be practised by living in the world and coping with life's everyday problems. Dr. Turna has been a long time family physician in Cannon Falls.

The Cannon Falls Rotary road crew had a beautiful day Saturday to pick up trash along Highway 19. The group was led by Ryan Schramm, and included Bonnie Lodermeier, Carol Sinykin, Steve Dabelow, Lyle Wilson, Chuck Schwarzhoff, Jim Bassett and Joe Coyle.

The Tuesday, April 24th meeting of the Cannon Falls Rotary Club featured a presentation by the the Cannon Falls Bomb-Botz. This group of high school students just finished their 3rd year competing in the FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC). FRC is an international high school robotics competition with over 4,000 teams.
