Opening Your Heart and Home

Without the willingness and sincerity of families who have opened their hearts and homes to students they have never met, the Rotary Youth Exchange Program would not exist. In an ever-changing world, it is important that we expose our children, our students and ourselves to areas and people unlike us—it’s how we open our eyes to a global community that shares the same hopes and dreams that we do.

In the landscape of today, adults and children alike must learn about others and reaffirm their faith that people from all over the world are good. What better way to do that than becoming a host family?

Become Part of a Great Tradition! Rotary Youth Exchange serves approximately 9,000 students from nearly 100 countries, building cross-cultural connections that make the world a smaller and better place. Host families are the anchor of the program, opening their homes to provide students with a first-hand experience of life in a new culture.
A great host family is willing to open hearts and home to an exchange student. Family size and make-up is less important than a sense of generosity and adventure. YOU are the key to a great exchange experience! Find out more about being a host family at North Star Youth Exchange( or contact
